In the days leading up to the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, amidst the characteristic cold weather of the border region, the central urban space of Lang Son gradually becomes bustling with spring colors.
At the decorated campus serving the Lang Son Cherry Blossom Festival, the Binh Ngo Tet mascot has officially "revealed", becoming a highlight attracting the attention of a large number of people and tourists.
According to PV's records, this year's Tet mascot includes two main clusters including a pair of yellow horses placed on a high pedestal and red horses standing out in the central space of the spring flower street.
The mascots are shaped in a galloping posture, with toned bodies, curved cripples and tails, exuding strength and freedom.
The dominant metallic yellow and red colors are combined with stylized cloud and flower motifs, creating a harmonious overall look with urban space and flower street landscape.
Talking to PV, Mr. Tran Chung Chien - representative of Hoang Gia Media Entertainment Service Trading Co., Ltd., the unit directly constructing - said that the red horse mascot is made from composite material (synthetic resin), ensuring durability, shaping ability and color when displayed outdoors.
This mascot cluster has been erected for about 3 days now, with a height of 3m, a width of 11m and a depth of 5m. It is expected to complete the entire horse mascot part today (January 31)," Mr. Chien informed.
According to the plan, after completing the central mascot, the construction unit will continue to complete the remaining items of the spring flower street, striving to complete the entire decoration space by February 6, in time to serve people and spring tourists.
The construction atmosphere at the spring flower street area these days is urgent. On the square ground, every detail of the iron frame, foam panel, and paint coating is carefully assembled and modified by workers.
According to Mr. Vo Van Quoc, a worker directly involved in the construction of the pair of golden horses, the workforce has been installing this item for about a week now.
The weather is cold, but the brothers still try to stick to the construction site to keep up with the progress. Each golden horse is expected to weigh several quintals, so the installation must be very careful," Mr. Quoc shared.
Currently, the construction unit is mobilizing about 30 workers to work continuously to complete the entire 200m long spring flower street, with the goal of completing it on schedule, bringing decorative space to serve people and tourists during the Tet peak.
Talking to PV, Mr. Doan Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee - said that the province will open the Lang Son Dao Flower Festival 2026 on the evening of February 7 (ie December 20 of the lunar calendar).
The special highlight of the opening night was the highest-altitude fireworks display combined with low-altitude fireworks, the largest scale ever in the province, performed by Anh Son Group Joint Stock Company.
Along with that, the art program in the opening night will gather many famous singers such as Trong Tan, Duong Hoang Yen, Quan AP, Phuc Bo and Minh Hang, promising to bring a vibrant, modern atmosphere mixed with the traditional colors of Lang Son.
According to Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, the Lang Son Dao Flower Festival 2026 is an annual cultural and tourism event, taking place from the end of 2025 to mid-March 2026, with more than 20 rich activities.
