On January 15, Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh inspected the field of the Cho Moi - Bac Kan route construction investment project and preparations for the completion of the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi expressway project.
For the Cho Moi - Bac Kan project, it is 28.8 km long, with a total investment of nearly 5,800 billion VND. According to the investor's report, up to now, it has reached 11.5% of the contract value. Disbursement of capital in 2025 for the construction package reached 93% by December 31, 2025.

Project Management Unit 2 (the investor) will coordinate with contractors to commit to progress milestones. Strive to basically complete the foundation in June 2026; structure the underpass in October 2026; open the entire route to traffic in 2026.
For the project to complete the CT.07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi in PPP form, it is 102 km long.
Hanoi - Thai Nguyen section from Ring Road III intersection (Km8+500) to Tan Long intersection and Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi section from Tan Long intersection to Thanh Binh intersection (Thanh Thinh commune, Thai Nguyen). Total investment is about VND 19,000 billion.
The Ministry of Construction has issued an official dispatch agreeing to assign the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to be the competent authority to organize the research and investment in the completion of the CT.07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi in the form of public-private partnership.

Directing at the scene, Minister Tran Hong Minh acknowledged the efforts of the units in implementing the projects.
At the same time, it is proposed that for the Cho Moi - Bac Kan expressway project, promptly resolve arising problems and strive to open the entire route to traffic in 2026.
The project to complete the CT.07 expressway section Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Cho Moi, units complete procedures to start construction soon in about May 2026.
