On September 9, the Director of Quang Ninh Electricity Company issued Decision No. 2646/QD-PCQN on the temporary suspension of the position of Director of Ha Long City Electricity Company. According to the Decision, from 6:00 p.m. on September 9, Quang Ninh Electricity Company temporarily suspended the position of Director of Ha Long City Electricity Company for Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong.
The cause of the incident was that Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong had directed the response and recovery work after the storm, which was not effective according to the instructions and requirements of the Northern Power Corporation and Quang Ninh Power Company. This greatly affected the restoration of power supply to customers in Ha Long City.
To speed up the progress of repairing the power grid in the city as well as unify the direction throughout from the Company to the local Electricity and to the power supply for customers with low-voltage lines, Quang Ninh Electricity Company has also decided to assign Mr. Dang Thanh - Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Electricity Company to concurrently hold the position of Director of Ha Long City Electricity to replace Mr. Nguyen Dai Cuong.
It is known that as of 2:00 p.m. on September 10, Quang Ninh Electricity Company has restored 30% of the incident load in the whole province; basically restored power supply to important loads in the whole province (hospitals, communications, clean water supply, etc.); restored 90% of the load in coal mines.
For priority loads in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Power Company is trying to restore power supply today. The remaining power lines in the city, due to many broken poles, will strive to be repaired in the next few days to restore power supply to customers.
