On November 28, the Department of Transport of Quang Binh province said that up to now, more than 100m of the North-South Expressway passing through the locality has not been cleared to hand over to the Project Management Boards.
The North-South Expressway construction project in the Eastern phase 2021 - 2025, the section through Quang Binh province, includes 3 component projects; length 126.43km through 6 districts, towns, cities and 35 communes and wards.
The Vung Ang - Bung section is about 42.95km long. The Bung - Van Ninh section is 49.93km long. The Van Ninh - Cam Lo section is 33.55km long. There are 8 intersections in the province.
Up to now, the length handed over to Project Management Board 6 and Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board - Ministry of Transport is 126.33km/126.43km (reaching 99.92%); more than 100m in Le Thuy district of the Van Ninh - Cam Lo component project has not been handed over.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Le Thuy district said that there are still 115m of land in the area that have not been cleared to hand over to the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.
Of which, 105m is the residential area where people are living. The household has agreed to hand over the site, however, due to unfavorable weather, the site has not been demolished yet.

In addition, the decision to adjust 10m of the ground level needs to be adjusted to match the data in the red book and land information. After completing the adjustment, the household will be notified. If they do not agree, enforcement will be carried out.
Another family with a length of about 3-5m has received compensation and handed over the land. This family is requesting road support, the unit has made a plan for the family, but has not agreed yet.
Recently, the weather has been continuously rainy, with periods of flooding, making it difficult to restore the site.
Permanent solution
Le Thuy District People's Committee informed that it has directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to reorganize the site clearance council. Immediately after reorganization, a meeting will be held to quickly resolve difficulties, in the spirit of resolving them as quickly as possible.
Recently, the locality has focused on overcoming natural disasters, so in the near future, it will try to completely resolve the problems of the North-South expressway.
The North-South Expressway Construction Project in the Eastern Region, Phase 2021-2025, through Quang Binh Province, has a total land area occupied by component projects of about 1,128.9 hectares. The forest area in the province that needs to change its purpose of use is 659.74 hectares.
