On May 2, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Binh province said that it had just coordinated with working group No. 4 (Department C08, Ministry of Public Security) to ambush and handle 4 vehicles carrying construction materials (VLXD) violating the load on National Highway 12A through Tuyen Hoa district. The total estimated fine is more than 260 million VND.
According to the authorities, in the past, the situation of trucks transporting sand and stone from construction materials mines operating "time-time", avoiding inspection by the patrol force is seriously damaging the road system. These acts are concentrated in key routes such as National Highway 12A, provincial roads through Ba Don town, Quang Trach and Tuyen Hoa.
The inspection results showed that all 4 vehicles were in serious violation of the load. Specifically, the tractor-trailer with license plate 73G-012.xx pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 73R-012.xx was overloaded by 39%; the truck with license plate 15C-333.xx was overloaded by 124%; the truck with license plate 73C-108.xx was overloaded by 155.2% and the truck with license plate 38C-094.xx exceeded the permitted level by 185.9%.
The working group has drawn up a record of administrative violations against the driver and vehicle owner, proposing a total fine of VND 260.5 million; revoking the badge in 1 case, deducting points from the driver's license in 3 cases.
Working with the drivers, the authorities determined that this group often deployed guards to monitor the activities of the patrol force to avoid checking.
PC08 Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police said that in the past, many transport units have strictly complied with legal regulations, but there are still cases of intentional violations.
In the coming time, the department will continue to implement ambush measures, organize sudden load weights, and measure into vehicle bins to strictly handle from the base. In addition, dangerous acts such as violating alcohol concentration, drugs, driving in the wrong lane, speeding, racing... will also be tightened to ensure traffic safety in the whole province.
