Mother returns to market to discover 1-year-old daughter dead in ditch

    Phu Yen - When she returned to the market and did not see her 1-year-old daughter at home, the mother panicked and went to look for her and discovered her child lying dead in the ditch in front of the house.

    On April 8, Hoa Phong Commune Police (Tay Hoa District, Phu Yen) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a girl.

    According to initial information, at around 6:30 a.m. the same day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh T (born in 1991, residing in My Thanh Trung 2 village, Hoa Phong commune) left home to go to the market. At around 7:15 a.m., when she returned home, she did not see her daughter, Ngo Nguyen Quynh N (born in 2023), so she shouted to search for her.

    A moment later, Mrs. T discovered that N had died in the ditch in front of the door, about 700m from her house.

    Hoa Phong Commune Police have defended the scene and reported the incident to the Investigation Police Agency of Phu Yen Province Police for investigation and handling according to regulations.
