An Giang - Steering Committee 515 of the province hopes that people with relevant information can provide information to soon verify the identity of martyrs.

On August 18, Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province said that from the artifacts just discovered when taking samples of martyrs' remains for DNA testing, the Committee is urgently handling and hopes that people with relevant information can provide them to quickly verify the identity of the martyr.

During the process of taking biological samples for DNA testing of martyrs' remains at Ha Tien Ward Martyrs' Cemetery, An Giang province, Team No. 1 and No. 3 of DNA Sampling Team, Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province discovered many artifacts buried with martyrs' remains.

Notably, there are portraits, combs, belts and some personal belongings still preserved after many years. The artifacts are of particular interest to the task force because behind each item can be a clue to help a family recognize their loved ones.

Steering Committee 515 hopes that relatives of martyrs who fought and sacrificed will be gathered or buried in the Ha Tien area, especially families who have not yet accurately identified the graves of their loved ones, and will pay attention to comparing the published artifact images.

If they notice a portrait photo, a comb, a belt or the characteristics of the artifacts have similarities with the supplies and images of the martyr in the family, relatives can provide additional information such as: martyr's name, year of birth, hometown, unit, time and area of sacrifice, personal characteristics, preserved images, death notice, Fatherland's Gratitude Certificate, comrade information or related documents.

Even if it is just a small detail or an incomplete memory, information from the family can still become a focal point for functional agencies to continue to check dossiers, compare with the location of the grave, artifacts and DNA test results.

Relatives of martyrs or people with related information can contact the Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province through Major Chau Hoang Nam, Head of Policy Department, Political Department, An Giang Provincial Military Command. Phone number: 0937. 353. 286 to provide information and coordinate verification.
