On August 25, the government of Thuy Anh commune, Hung Yen province coordinated with Thai Thuy Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise to handle the Tien Hung river dike landslide incident in Ngoc Son village area.
Due to the impact of storm No. 4, a section of the Tien Hung river dike passing through Ngoc Son village experienced landslides, about 14m long.
Immediately after detecting the incident, forces from Thuy Anh commune and Ngoc Son village urgently arrived and deployed handling according to the "4 on-site" motto. Forces focused on reinforcing the landslide area, clamping bamboo stakes, joining fences, pouring broken bricks, mobilizing machinery and vehicles to handle and protect the dike slope.
With a spirit of urgency, proactiveness and responsibility, the landslide area has basically been overcome, contributing to ensuring the safety of the dyke line, limiting the risk of incidents, and protecting the lives and property of the people.
Currently, forces in Thuy Anh commune are required to strengthen inspection of the entire route, especially at key locations, areas at risk of landslides, proactively deploy response plans, and not be passive or surprised by arising situations.
