People dismantle houses to give up land for the project
At this time, at the intersection of road 221A (Hung Phu commune, Hung Yen province), dozens of vehicles and machinery are mobilized to dismantle houses from 2 - 5 floors, serving the handover of land for route No. 3 of the Project to invest in building main roads connecting with functional areas in Thai Binh Economic Zone.
Attached and living in the area for nearly 30 years, Mr. Doan Van Tuyen in Hung Phu commune, Hung Yen province said: "My family cannot help but regret having to leave the 3-story house that we have saved up after many years of accumulation. This is also where I combine business very conveniently. However, for the common good, my family agreed to receive compensation money, move to the resettlement area and hand over the ground to implement the project.
The 221A road intersection used to be the central area of the old Nam Hung commune, now belonging to Hung Phu commune. This area has many high-rise buildings from 2 - 5 floors, concentrating many households living, doing business, and trading along both sides of the road.
Due to being related to many areas of residential land, houses, works and resettlement arrangements, site clearance (GPMB) work here once faced many difficulties, becoming one of the biggest bottlenecks of the 3rd Street project.
Dialogue to remove obstacles
To solve this bottleneck, Hung Phu Commune People's Committee has deployed a 30-day peak campaign to propagate and mobilize site clearance for the 221A road intersection area.
In the process of implementation, local authorities organized many conferences and direct dialogues with people to inform and explain policies on compensation, support for site clearance and resettlement. Working groups were also established, directly going to each household to propagate, mobilize and grasp recommendations.
Site clearance work for road No. 3 at the intersection of road 221A, there are 116 households with residential land area to be recovered. To date, households have approved compensation and site clearance support plans; of which 92 households have received compensation with a total amount of more than 268 billion VND.
78 households have dismantled works and houses; 89 households have been allocated resettlement land and new residential land. It is expected that in August, the commune will continue to pay the remaining households.
Mr. Bui Tuan Anh - Chairman of Hung Phu Commune People's Committee, Hung Yen province - said that the above results were achieved thanks to the government and mass organizations persistently propagating, dialoguing, and promptly resolving legitimate petitions of the people.
Along with that, the locality is accelerating the construction of resettlement area infrastructure so that households can soon stabilize their lives. The lottery for resettlement locations is implemented according to regulations, publicly listed, ensuring democracy, transparency and in accordance with regulations.
The removal of site clearance bottlenecks at the 221A intersection is creating conditions for route No. 3 of the Project to invest in building main roads connecting with functional areas in Thai Binh Economic Zone to continue to be implemented synchronously, contributing to promoting traffic connection and the development of Thai Binh Economic Zone.
