A young man swept away by flood while crossing a flooded road

QUẢNG AN |

HUE - Two young men riding a motorbike through a flooded road were unfortunately swept away by floodwaters, one escaped and the other went missing.

On the evening of October 29, the leader of the People's Committee of Huong Tra Ward (Hue City) said that the authorities are searching for a young man swept away by floodwaters.

Accordingly, at about 4:00 p.m. the same day, at the gas station area on National Highway 1A (km 808+400, Huong Tra Ward), a motorbike driven by T.H.V.M (born in 2007), carrying B.H.N.L (born in 2007), also residing in Huong Tra Ward, was traveling in the direction of An Lo - Hue.

When passing through a deeply flooded road, the strong water swept both of them and the vehicle into the sewer. L swam to shore, while M was swept away and went missing.

After receiving the news, the local authorities mobilized functional forces to organize the search. However, due to the darkness, heavy rain and strong water flows, the search was difficult.

On the same day, the People's Committee of Dan Dien commune (Phong Dien district) is also searching for Mr. T.T.H (born in 1990, residing locally) who was swept away by water and went missing at 5:40 p.m. on October 27 at spillway No. 2 on the Nho Lam - Nghia Lo dike (through Dong Lam village).
