Information from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Hanoi City Police, implementing the plan to ensure traffic order and safety in the area, from June 11 to June 17, 2026, the traffic police force throughout the city discovered and handled 1,267 cases of alcohol concentration violations, with a total estimated fine of more than 7.7 billion VND.
Among these, there are 7 cases of driving cars, 1,200 cases of driving motorbikes and mopeds, and 60 cases of driving other types of vehicles.


Recorded on the evening of June 17, the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police deployed to check alcohol concentration at the Phung Hung - 19/5 street intersection (Ha Dong ward).
In just over an hour of duty, functional forces discovered 3 cases of motorbike drivers violating regulations.
In which, at 7:59 pm, the task force stopped to check Mr. B.Q. T (born 1969, residing in Hanoi) driving motorbike license plate 29T1-922. xx. The measurement results showed that this person violated at a level below 0.25 mg/l of breath. Next, at 8:05 pm, Mr. V.V.S (born 1983, residing in Hanoi), driving motorbike license plate 33P2-06. xx, was also found to have a similar level of violation.
Working with functional forces, both cases admitted to using alcohol and beer before driving vehicles participating in traffic.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son - Head of the Task Force said that the inspection and handling of alcohol concentration violations is regularly maintained by the unit on key routes and areas, especially in areas with many restaurants, eateries and entertainment venues.
Task forces are arranged flexibly according to many time frames to promptly detect and prevent cases of driving vehicles after using alcohol and beer.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Son, the time of World Cup matches is also a period when the demand for gatherings to watch football, parties and use alcoholic beverages increases. Therefore, the traffic police force will continue to strengthen patrols, inspections, and strictly handle violations to ensure security, order, and traffic safety in the Capital.
