At around 4:00 p.m. on August 20, Dak Sin 5 and Binh Hung 6 villages in Quang Tin commune (Lam Dong province) experienced heavy rain with thunder and tornadoes. Fortunately, thunderstorms did not cause any human casualties.
However, according to records, the rain and thunder blew off the roofs, causing severe damage to a number of houses in the two villages.
Accordingly, in Dak Sin 5 village, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai's house had its roof blown off, with a damaged area of 30 square meters. Mr. Ta Van Khoa's house has a damaged area of 60 m2.

In Hung Binh 6 village, Mr. Bui Van Khan's house was damaged about 20 m2, Mr. Vu Quang Dinh and Mr. Le Van Phieu's houses had damaged areas of 30 m2 and 25 m2, respectively. Mr. Bui Van Xeng's house was broken by a rubber tree, causing damage to about 40 square meters.
In addition, many areas of crops, mainly rubber and coffee in the area, were also broken over a large area.


Immediately after the natural disaster, the Commune Military Command coordinated with the Commune Police and forces in the village to overcome the consequences. About 12 militia were divided into 2 groups, along with 10 commune police officers to support people in clearing fallen trees and clearing village roads and alleys.
The authorities also helped households with houses with unroofed roofs to clean up, ensuring safety and will coordinate with people to repair and overcome damage from August 21.
