Dak Lak - The flood situation is complicated in many localities, roads are flooded, causing traffic disruption.

On November 17, the People's Committee of Yang Mao commune (Dak Lak province) said that the locality is urgently evacuating more than 10 households in flooded areas to safe areas. Due to complicated floods, some schools in the area have announced that students will be off school.

On the same day, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that at Km68, National Highway 29, about 200m was flooded, making it impossible for vehicles to circulate.

The authorities have deployed officers to checkpoint, prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through deeply flooded areas; and at the same time guiding vehicles in the direction of Buon Ma Thuot - Tuy Hoa through National Highway 19C and National Highway 25.

According to the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from 7:00 p.m. on November 16 to 6:00 a.m. on November 17, the area experienced heavy to very heavy rain, generally 30 - 100 mm, in some places over 300 mm, in Yang Mao commune alone measured 315 mm.

It is forecasted that in the next 6 hours, Dak Lak will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain; in the next 6 - 12 hours, floods on rivers are likely to reach alert level 1 to alert level 3.

The provincial Hydrometeorological Station warns that the communes of Cu Pui, Yang Mao, Dang Kang, Lien Son Lak, Dak Lieng, Hoa Son, Krong Bong, Dak Pho, Song Hinh... are at very high risk of landslides and flooding.
