On November 16, a working group of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Uar commune government to conduct a field inspection of the flooding situation in Nu village.
Buon Nu currently has 453 households. During the recent storm No. 13, the commune government urgently organized the evacuation of 200 households to safe shelters.
However, up to now, there are still 49 households with 238 people flooded; the average water level in the house is about 30 cm, greatly affecting their lives and activities.
According to local reports, Nu village has more than 350 households that need to be relocated to ensure safety and long-term stability.
The resettlement area is expected to be located in Doi Doan field (in Huy Hoang village), with an area of over 80 hectares, about 1 km from the existing residential area.

This area is qualified to arrange residential land, production land and build essential infrastructure items to serve people's lives.
Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Duong Mah Tiep - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - requested the Uar commune government to closely coordinate with relevant departments and branches to complete the planning and relocation plan, and urgently submit it to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
He emphasized that the implementation of resettlement areas must be carried out quickly, in accordance with regulations, ensuring long-term rights and stability for people affected by natural disasters and floods in flooded areas.
