Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on July 21

Many hydropower reservoirs across the country on July 21 were lower than the normal water level, including Hoa Binh reservoir at 102.95 m.

According to updated data at 7:00 PM on July 21, the water level of Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir at 6:00 PM was 102.95 m, 14.05 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,954 m3/s, the total discharge volume was 4,446 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway was 1,526 m3/s and through the plant was 2,920 m3/s.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 285.67 m, 9.33 m lower than the normal water level; Ban Chat Lake is 469.71 m, 5.29 m lower; Huoi Quang Lake is 369.63 m, 0.37 m lower; Son La Lake is 198.77 m, 16.23 m lower. Hoa Binh Lake is at 102.95 m.

Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 105.41 m, 14.59 m lower than the normal water level. Thac Ba Lake is at 52.23 m, 5.77 m lower.

In the North Central region, the water level of Trung Son Lake is 150.12 m, only 0.12 m higher than the dead water level; Ban Ve Lake 173.48 m; Khe Bo Lake 64.2 m; Quang Tri Lake 459.86 m.

In the South Central region, A Vuong Lake has a water level of 352.69 m, Song Bung 2 577.1 m, Vinh Son A 767.22 m, Song Bung 4 209.62 m, Song Tranh 2 152.01 m, Song Ba Ha 102.87 m and Song Hinh 201.43 m.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 501.1 m, 13.9 m lower than the normal water level; Pleikrong 546.61 m; Se San 3 303.26 m; Se San 3A 238.5 m; Se San 4 211.6 m; Kanak 497.24 m; An Khe 428.3 m; Srepok 3 269.94 m and Buon Kuop 410.13 m.

Some hydroelectric reservoirs in the South Central region and Central Highlands are having large total discharges, of which Song Ba Ha reservoir discharges 136 m³/s, Ialy 219 m³/s, Pleikrong 284 m³/s, Se San 3 305 m³/s and Buon Kuop 297.23 m³/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 51.44 m, 10.56 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir is 380 m3/s, the total discharge is 552 m3/s, all through the plant.
