According to reservoir operation data, at 11:00 AM on July 20, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir had an upstream water level of 104.79 m, water inflow to reservoir 1. 170 m3/s, total discharge volume 730.24 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 284.52 m, a water inflow of 1,742 m3/s, and a total discharge of 1,506 m3/s. Son La Lake is at 198.89 m, a water inflow of 3,682 m3/s, and a total discharge of 3,215 m3/s.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 103.28 m, lower than the normal water level by 13.72 m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,766 m3/s, while the total discharge amount was 4,264 m3/s, including 1,534 m3/s through the spillway and 2,730 m3/s through the plant.
Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 469.26 m, inflow rate of 436 m3/s, total discharge rate of 176 m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 369.77 m, inflow rate of 392 m3/s, total discharge rate of 341 m3/s.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 151.4 m, inflow rate of 422 m3/s, total discharge volume of 480 m3/s. Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 64.75 m, inflow rate and total discharge volume are at 95.5 m3/s. Quang Tri Lake has a water level of 460.29 m, total discharge volume of 18 m3/s.
In the South Central region, Song Ba Ha reservoir has a water level of 102.96 m, a water inflow of 50 m3/s, and a total discharge of 154 m3/s. Song Bung 4 reservoir has a water level of 209.81 m, with a total discharge of 49 m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 500.67 m, water inflow 253 m3/s, total discharge volume 288 m3/s. Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 547.4 m, total discharge volume 203 m3/s. Se San 3 Lake has a water level of 303.75 m, total discharge volume 403 m3/s; Se San 4 Lake is at 211.4 m, total discharge volume 320 m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 51.52 m, 10.48 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 410 m3/s, currently no water is discharged.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 20, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; the delta will have showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day, locally heavy rain. Rain concentrates in the late afternoon, night and early morning.
The area from Nghe An to Da Nang and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees Celsius, in some places above 37 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
