Many hydropower reservoirs across the country are lower than the normal water level, some reservoirs have large inflows and are maintaining discharge through spillways.

According to updated data as of 11:15 am on September 4, in the Northern region, the water level of large hydropower reservoirs on the Da River system is still lower than the normal water level.

Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 107.42 m, which is 117 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 775 m3/s, with a total discharge volume of 243 m3/s.

Son La Lake is at 208.68 m, lower than the normal water level by 215 m. Water flow to the lake reached 1,902 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,146 m3/s.

In Lai Chau, the water level reached 290.39 m, water inflow to the reservoir was 1,001 m3/s, total discharge volume was 1,104 m3/s. Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 471.79 m, water inflow 79 m3/s, discharge 241 m3/s; Huoi Quang has a water level of 368.25 m, water inflow 291 m3/s, discharge 185 m3/s.

Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 113.1 m, a flow rate of 536 m3/s and a total discharge rate of 627.54 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake is at 54.85 m, a flow rate of 237 m3/s, a total discharge rate of 333.24 m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 152.55 m, water recedes at 580 m3/s and discharges 470 m3/s. Ban Ve Lake is at 193.13 m, water recedes at 337 m3/s, discharges 320 m3/s.

Notably, Khe Bo reservoir has a water level of 65 m, exactly the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir and the total discharge volume are both at 495.5 m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, Song Ba Ha reservoir has a large inflow, reaching 1,008 m3/s; total discharge volume 400 m3/s. Song Hinh reservoir has a water level of 197.06 m, inflow -3.4 m3/s, total discharge volume 15.22 m3/s.

The Central Highlands region recorded a large amount of water entering the reservoir at Se San 4, reaching 1,235 m3/s; the total discharge volume is also at 1,235 m3/s. Ialy Lake has a water level of 509.56 m, water entering and total discharge volume are both at 308 m3/s.

Se San 3A Lake has a water level of 238.72 m, close to the normal water level of 239 m. Inflow to the lake reached 496 m3/s, total discharge 477 m3/s. Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 566.73 m, inflow 525 m3/s, discharge 210 m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 56.26 m, 62 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 1,100 m3/s, total discharge volume 847 m3/s.

Thac Mo Lake has a water level of 209.86 m, water recedes at 271.27 m3/s, total discharge volume 176 m3/s.
