Water levels of many large rivers across the country on July 28th changed slowly or fluctuated according to reservoir regulation and the influence of tides.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the Red River basin, the water level of the Thao River at Yen Bai and Phu Tho stations is changing slowly and tending to rise. At 7:00 AM on July 28, the water level in Yen Bai reached 25.24m, in Phu Tho reached 12.35m. It is forecast that by the morning of July 30, the water level in Yen Bai may rise to 25.75m, and in Phu Tho about 12.60m.

On the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station reached 16.59m, at Vu Quang reached 9.28m at 7:00 am on July 28 and continued to increase. It is forecast that by the morning of July 30, the water level in Tuyen Quang may reach 17.50m, at Vu Quang about 10.10m. Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir still maintains opening 1 bottom discharge gate from July 24.

For the Da River, the water flow to Hoa Binh reservoir continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of upstream hydropower reservoirs.

The water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station at 7:00 AM on July 28 was at 4.25m and continued to fluctuate due to the regulation of Hoa Binh and Tuyen Quang reservoirs combined with tidal influence.

In the Thai Binh river basin, water levels on the Cau, Thuong, Luc Nam and Thai Binh rivers continue to fluctuate according to tidal influence.

In the next 36 hours, the highest water level at Pha Lai station on the Thai Binh River is forecast to be about 2.30m, the lowest is about 1.60m; Cau River at Dap Cau fluctuates from 1.72-2.50m; Thuong River at Phu Lang Thuong from 1.30-2.40m; Luc Nam River at Luc Nam from 1.12-2.30m.

In the North Central region, the water level upstream of the Ma River fluctuates, the midstream is affected by reservoir regulation. The Ca River in Nam Dan continues to fluctuate according to reservoir regulation; the La River in Linh Cam is forecast to fluctuate to about 1.35m; the Gianh River in Mai Hoa is highest at about 0.88m. On the Huong River, the water level at Kim Long is maintained at about 0.50m and continues to change slowly.

In the South Central Coast, the water level on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river continues to change slowly, downstream fluctuates according to the tide. The water level of the Kon River at Thanh Hoa fluctuates around 6.62-6.68m; Tra Khuc River about 1.55-1.80m; Ba River at Phu Lam about 0.47-0.50m.

In the Southeast region, the water level of the Dong Nai River continues to rise. At 7:00 AM on July 28, the water level at Ta Lai station reached 111.68m, 0.32m lower than alarm level 1. It is forecast that the water level may rise to about 112.10m before changing slowly. On the Be River, the water level at Phuoc Hoa ranges from about 19.90-20.50m according to reservoir regulation.

In the Central Highlands, the water level on the Krong Ana River continues to trend upwards, while the Dak Bla River and other rivers fluctuate according to the regulation of hydropower reservoirs.

For the headwaters of the Mekong River, the water level continues to fluctuate according to the tide with an upward trend. By August 1st, the highest daily water level on the Tien River at Tan Chau is forecast to reach about 1.70m, and on the Hau River at Chau Doc about 1.85m.
