On rivers in the Red River basin, the water levels of Thao River, Lo River, Da River and downstream of the Red River are all changing slowly.

The short-term Hydrometeorological Forecast and Warning bulletin issued at 10:30 am on August 17 by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said:

With the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station (Lao Cai province), Phu Tho station is and will continue to decrease slowly.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 AM on August 17 was at 26.20m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 12.81m.

For the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho) is and will continue to change slowly and is mainly affected by the regulation of hydropower on the upper line.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 AM on August 17 was at 15.10m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 7.36m.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate according to the above-level hydropower regulation.

At 7:00 AM on August 17, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 33.62m.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi Hydrological Station is changing slowly with a downward trend.

At 7:00 AM on August 17, the water level at Hanoi station was at 2.90m.

It is forecasted that the water level of the Red River at Hanoi station will continue to change slowly; affected by the regulation of hydropower on the upper line and fluctuating according to tides.
