On September 5, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued a Short-term Hydrographic Forecast and Warning Bulletin.

According to the bulletin, with the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station (Lao Cai province) is decreasing and is forecast to change slowly.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 AM on September 5th was at 25.18m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 12.38m.

With the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho province) is fluctuating and subject to upstream hydropower regulation.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 AM on September 5th was at 14.40m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 5.97m.

It is forecasted that the water level at Tuyen Quang station will fluctuate according to the upstream hydropower regulation; the water level at Vu Quang station will continue to rise above the first 12 hours due to Tuyen Quang reservoir increasing power generation, then it will decrease and be affected by the upstream hydropower regulation.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate due to the regulation of the above-line hydropower plant.

Monitoring data shows that at 7:00 AM on September 5th, the water level of the Da River at Hoa Binh reservoir station was 18.38m.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at the Hanoi Hydrological Station is changing slowly and at a low level, forecast to continue to change slowly according to the tidal regime as well as be affected by upstream reservoir regulation.

According to monitoring data, the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station at 7:00 AM on September 5th was only 1.04m.
