In Cao Bang, according to the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, on May 26, the weather is generally cloudy, no rain, hot sunny, with intense heat in some places.
Forecast for the next 24 - 48 hours, due to the influence of the Southeast edge of the hot low pressure area developed and expanded to the Southeast, some areas in Cao Bang will continue to experience hot sun, with intense hot sun in some places. The highest temperature is commonly from 36 - 38 degrees C, the lowest humidity is from 40 - 45%.

In Son La, the Provincial Hydrometeorological Station said that in the next 24 hours, the area will continue to be affected by the southern edge of the low pressure trough combined with the hot low pressure area from the West developing and expanding to the Southeast, causing widespread heat, with intense heat in many places.
Areas such as Muong La, Yen Chau, Phu Yen and Sop Cop are forecast to have the highest temperature of about 38 degrees C. Song Ma is commonly 37 degrees C, Quynh Nhai and Thuan Chau are about 35 degrees C.
Especially highland areas such as Moc Chau and Van Ho have lower temperatures, ranging from 32 - 34 degrees Celsius.
In addition to hot weather, Son La also experiences scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and night. The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind, potentially causing damage to agricultural production and people's infrastructure.
The meteorological sector believes that prolonged hot weather combined with low air humidity increases the risk of fires and explosions in residential areas due to increased electricity demand, and at the same time poses a high risk of forest fires.
Extreme weather can also directly affect people's health such as dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
Functional agencies recommend that people limit working outdoors from 11 am to 4 pm, proactively replenish water and implement heat protection measures.
Localities need to strengthen inspection of forest fire prevention and fighting work, and at the same time be ready with response plans for thunderstorms and hail that may occur unexpectedly.
