Afternoon of July 29, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held its regular meeting for July 2024 to listen to and give opinions on many important issues.
At the meeting, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy to adjust the Construction and Business Project of Cua Lo Deep Water Port.
Accordingly, the province will adjust the project scale as follows: construction of 03 berths (including 02 berths for ships up to 50,000 DWT and 1 berth for ships of 100,000 DWT), with a total berth length of 800 m, along with a port hinterland area of 32 ha and auxiliary works such as: 1550 m long breakwater, bridge connecting from the leading bridge to the berth, ship channel, turning basin, and ship docking area.
The land use area for the port hinterland is about 32 ha. The water surface use area is about 208.15 ha to build offshore port works including: berths, breakwater, bridge connecting the leading bridge to the berth; turning basin, ship docking area, and maritime channel.
Total investment capital for the project is 7,324.956 billion VND. The investment is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 (2024 - 2028) with an investment capital of 5,250.804 billion VND; Phase 2 (2029 - 2030) with an investment capital of 2,074.152 billion VND.
The project implementation schedule is from Q2/2024 to Q4/2024, completing the procedures according to legal regulations. Phase 1, investing in berth No. 06 and berth No. 07 (50,000 DWT), constructing 1,200m breakwater, bridge connection No. 01, ship channel and maritime assistance, road yard, architectural works, and accompanying infrastructure; implementation time from 2024 - 2028.
Phase 2, investing in berth No. 05 (100,000 DWT), constructing 350m breakwater, bridge connection No. 02, road yard, architectural works, and accompanying technical infrastructure; implementation time from 2029 - 2030.
Emphasizing that this is a key project of the province, therefore, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy requested departments and sectors to focus on implementing the project.
Also at the meeting, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy to invest in the Construction Project of Hiep Hoa Drainage Memorial, Do Luong district.
