On May 4, in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, more than 1,000 Buddhists, people and tourists visited Linh Quang Pagoda (Thanh Nua Commune, Dien Bien District) to attend the 2569 New Year's Eve Phat Phat Festival. This is one of the most important spiritual events of the year in Buddhism.
This year's Lunar New Year in Dien Bien not only has profound religious significance but is also a unique cultural and spiritual festival of the border land.
The procession of Buddha procession was celebrated solemnly, showing respect to the Buddha. The image of the Buddhist flag fluttering beside the national flag as a strong symbol for the spirit of "the Dharma always accompanies the nation", showing the harmonious attachment between religion and the country.

Present at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (40 years old, Him Lam ward, Dien Bien Phu city) could not hide her emotions: "What impressed me most was the Buddha's hand ceremony. The crowd was very large but everyone respected it, walking more than 2km to the pagoda in celebration.
Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province, conveyed a meaningful message from the King of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

According to Dai Duong, this year's Buddha's Prophecy emphasizes the sacred role of solidarity and tolerance in building a peaceful, happy and sustainable world.
The great virtue also calls on all Buddhists to light up love in their hearts, actively practice compassion and intelligence according to the teachings of the Buddha and spread the mindfulness and positive energy in modern life, contributing to building an increasingly better society.

Not only domestic Buddhists but also the entire Buddhist community around the world happily celebrate the sacred Vesak day - the anniversary of Buddha's birth. The grand ceremony in Dien Bien is part of that common atmosphere, imbued with local cultural identity - Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh said.
