At 9:30 am on July 19, Xeo Nhau Border Guard Station received a report from Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (born in 1984, residing in Tan Thanh commune, An Giang province) about the capture of a 51kg turtle.
Mr. Binh reported to Xeo Nhau Border Guard Station. The unit quickly sent officers to Mr. Binh's house to coordinate with functional agencies to make a record and release the stonefish back to the sea.
It is known that sea turtles belong to the sea turtle family, are rare animals, are threatened with extinction and are strictly protected by Vietnamese and international law.
