On January 23, the Traffic Police Team, Dong Hoi City Police (Quang Binh Province) said that in the past time, it has been receiving information and images of traffic violations for processing via email, website, hotline number, and on-duty staff of the City Police; through feedback from the Smart Citizen Application System (Dong Hoi SmartCity).
Most recently, the Traffic Police Department verified and handled administrative violations against a truck driver who carried two electric poles in the back of the truck, exceeding the prescribed length in the city, causing public outrage.
Through verification, it was determined that Mr. D.H.T was the driver of vehicle 73C-039.xx at 10:00 a.m. on January 20, on Le Loi Street (Dong Hoi City), violating the act of carrying goods beyond the rear of the vehicle by more than 1.1 times the total length of the vehicle. The average fine is 900,000 VND; 2 points will be deducted from the driver's license.
The Traffic Police Department also issued an administrative violation report to H.H Trading & Service Company Limited, owner of the car with license plate 73C-039.xx, for the violation of handing over the vehicle to an employee to drive the vehicle and commit the violation. The average fine is 10 million VND; the right to use the transport badge is revoked for 2 months.
To ensure effective law enforcement, when providing information about violations, people need to leave their full name, address, and contact phone number in case the receiving agency needs to contact them for verification.
Information and images used as a basis for verifying and detecting administrative violations must reflect objectively and ensure the following factors: clear time of violation, location, clear person, violation and within the statute of limitations for handling administrative violations according to the provisions of law (photos are legally valid within 1 year from the time of detecting the violation).
Traffic police will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of names, addresses, contact phone numbers, handwriting and other information of organizations and individuals who have provided information and images of traffic violations.
