After implementing the 2-level local government, Tu Minh ward received the project to renovate and expand Vu Cong Dan road - an important traffic route not only for Hai Duong city (old) but also directly connecting with neighboring areas such as Binh Giang, Cam Giang (old). Currently, local authorities and related units are focusing on site clearance so that the project can be implemented on schedule.
Up to now, the majority of people have agreed. According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Son, a resident of Tu Thong Residential Group, since the beginning of the year, his family has voluntarily demolished and given up land for the project even though they have not received compensation. Mr. Son believes that the new road will contribute to infrastructure development, creating long-term benefits for the community, so people should agree with the government.
In recent times, the Tu Minh Ward Land Clearance Council has closely coordinated with residential groups, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to promote propaganda on compensation, support and resettlement policies and guidelines.
Many people's problems related to land origin, recovered areas, and compensation units have been thoroughly resolved. Thanks to that, most households are clearly aware of the significance of the project and actively hand over the site to the construction unit.
The project to renovate and expand Vu Cong Dan Street (section through Tu Thong area) is 1,735km long, with a cross-section of 33m. Previously, Hai Duong City (old) completed site clearance and handed over route 1, and is currently implementing route 2.
For some households that deliberately did not comply, Tu Minh ward reported to Hai Phong City People's Committee for guidance and completed the dossier to carry out enforcement when meeting legal conditions. At the same time, the locality continues to persistently mobilize and dialogue, in order to achieve the highest consensus from the people.
Recently, 2 more households have agreed to receive compensation, dismantle the project and hand over the site. This work demonstrates a sense of responsibility, contributing significantly to promoting the project's progress. Local authorities acknowledge the people's agreement with the publicity and transparency policies in the inventory, application of compensation prices and resettlement support.
The people's cooperation with the government will not only ensure legal discipline but also shorten construction time, soon put the completed road into service for urban development, meeting the expectations of the people of Tu Minh ward and neighboring areas.
