On August 21, according to a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, at the stations of the Nhon - Hanoi metro line, many passengers wanted to buy monthly tickets for this metro line.
Minh Anh - Student at the University of Foreign Languages (Hanoi National University) said that, according to current regulations, a monthly ticket for the Nhon - Hanoi metro train is only about 30 thousand VND more expensive than a monthly bus ticket (ticket 1 line for students - PV) so in the near future she will completely switch to using electric trains.
"I live in Phu Dien, traveling to the train station is extremely convenient, not to mention the train goes very fast and on time, so I will switch to using this means of transport to go to school.", Minh Anh shared.
Talking to reporters, a ticket sales staff at S8 metro Nhon station - Hanoi station said that from the morning of August 23, this train line will officially collect tickets.
"People who want to buy monthly tickets will start buying tickets from the morning of August 23. Passengers can buy monthly tickets at any station, as most convenient.", station staff S8 said.
Thus, the free time to take the Nhon - Hanoi train station will apply until the end of tomorrow (August 22).
According to the current ticket price plan, a ticket for one leg of the route is 8,000 VND/turn, 12,000 VND/turn for the whole route. A day ticket costs 24,000 VND, is valid during the day and has no limit on the number of trips.
People can also buy monthly tickets for 200,000 VND/month, with priority given to students at 100,000 VND/month. If purchased collectively and not subject to priority, the monthly ticket price is 140,000 VND. Implementing the policy according to the Resolution of the Hanoi People's Council, tickets are free for children under 6 years old, people with meritorious services, elderly people over 60 years old, and people with disabilities.
Customers who buy single tickets will be given circular tickets, like coins. When passing through the ticket gate, passengers use the ticket to scan to open the gate. When they get off, they insert it into the ticket machine to open the door. Once purchased, tickets are only valid for 20 minutes. If guests do not board the train, they must go to the ticket counter to update.
As noted by the reporter, during rush hour on the morning of August 21, the trains heading from Nhon to Cau Giay were always full. Guests are mainly students, office workers and the elderly. This is a good sign for the capital's traffic.
