On February 25, the Phu Loc District Forest Protection Department (Hue City) received a reticulatus volunteered by Mr. Le Vien (residing in Phu Loc District).
According to information from the Phu Loc District Forest Protection Department, this reticulated python was discovered by Mr. Le Vien in his garden.
When discovered, the python weighed about 3kg, was in normal health, and had no signs of injury. Realizing that this is a rare wild animal that needs to be protected, Mr. Vien proactively reported and handed over the python to the authorities.
plaython reticulatus is a reptile in the plaython family, known as one of the largest reptiles in the world. They are mainly distributed in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.
According to Decree 84 of the Government, the pangolin belongs to group IIB - a group of endangered, precious, and rare forest animals that limit exploitation and use for commercial purposes. Illegal hunting, keeping or trading of geese can be subject to administrative sanctions or criminal prosecution depending on the severity of the violation.
