According to information from the Ministry of Public Security, the Rescue Team (Ministry of Public Security) began its first mission as soon as it arrived in Myanmar.
Accordingly, through discussions with the Myanmar Disaster Emergency Relief Center, the delegation quickly moved to the scene of a collapsed building in a residential area in Zabuthiri, Naypyidaw (Myanmar).
It is known that this is a 3-storey building, with an area of over 200m2 and has completely collapsed. Information from the Myanmar rescue team said that in front of the building was a man over 60 years old and behind it was a woman about 30 years old trapped.
On the morning of March 31, the rescue team used domestic dogs and modern equipment to locate the two victims.



"The domestic dogs used for this mission were selected very closely, are the dogs with the best skills, have undergone training from basic to advanced, suitable for all complex terrains and harsh weather conditions", said Major Nguyen Tran Cong Huan - Center for Training and Use of Professional animals, Ministry of Public Security (member of the rescue team).
Previously, immediately after receiving the order of the Minister of Public Security, in less than 24 hours, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department coordinated with relevant units to quickly select officers and establish a working group of the Ministry of Public Security consisting of 26 officers and soldiers, led by Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong - Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department.
The group urgently prepared equipment, vehicles, necessities, and service dogs and set off from the afternoon of March 30 to serve rescue work on the field.
"This is not the first time the Ministry of Public Security has participated in international rescue and relief; joining hands with countries and organizations around the world to respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters is a very important task of the Ministry of Public Security, contributing to affirming Vietnam's role as a responsible member of the international community, ready to join hands to solve difficulties and challenges and maintain a peaceful and stable environment for cooperation and development in the region and the world", Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen said at the launching ceremony.

Deputy Minister Le Van Tuyen also suggested that the working group should identify this as both a responsibility and an honor and pride for each officer and soldier.
Therefore, it is necessary to overcome all difficulties and hardships, maximize the spirit of "helping you is like helping yourself", consider "your harm as your damage", carry out tasks with the highest determination and effort to help you quickly overcome the damage, while at the same time carrying out the traditional morality and beautiful image of the country and people of Vietnam.
The Ministry of Public Security's rescue team is expected to carry out a mission in Myanmar for about 10 days.
Vietnam Police Rescue Team approaches scene in Myanmar
On the morning of March 31, a representative of the Rescue Team of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in Myanmar said that the 26 officers and soldiers of the group had traveled overnight to Sagaing city (Myanmar).
Accordingly, after 2 hours of flight, from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) to YangGon Airport (Myanmar) at 6:15 p.m. local time, the rescue team arranged their luggage and got in a car to get to the area affected by the earthquake.
Right on the bus, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong - Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) - Head of the delegation, divided the 26 officers and soldiers into three working groups. In the immediate future, the teams will carry out the task of moving, gathering equipment and goods, setting up camps, and deploying rescue plans.
After 8 hours of traveling by car, the group arrived in Sagaing city (Myanmar), this is a location about 250km from the capital Naypyidaw.
Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong said that the delegation had a quick exchange with the Myanmar Disaster Emergency Relief Center and quickly moved to the scene of a collapsed building.
