A similar situation also occurred at Chin Nghia bus company, with the Ho Chi Minh City - Quang Ngai route running out of sleeper tickets for two days August 30 and 31. The VIP sleeper ticket price of this bus company has increased sharply from 625,000 VND to 895,000 VND, an increase of more than 40%.
Phuc Thuan Thao bus company running the route Ho Chi Minh City - Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen) is also in a similar situation, running out of sleeper tickets for these two days.
According to the representative of Mien Dong New Bus Station (Thu Duc City), transport businesses at the station have planned to provide nearly 40,000 sleeper tickets for the holiday. Of these, about half of the tickets are for routes with high demand such as from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat, Nha Trang, Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, Tuy Hoa, and Quang Ngai.
In case the number of passengers suddenly increases beyond the service capacity, the bus station will mobilize additional tour buses and buses to support. However, bus stations do not encourage bus operators to increase ticket prices more than 40% to create favorable conditions for passengers.
