During the Lunar New Year 2024, Dak Lak province welcomed about 145,000 visitors, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the provincial tourism industry will focus on implementing many exciting activities to attract tourists to the locality for sightseeing and relaxation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Mung - Executive Director of Troh Bu Eco-tourism Site (Buon Don District) shared: "During the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, the unit will launch many incentive and incentive events. Visitors to our tourist site will experience many attractive services, closely associated with local culture".
According to Mr. Mung, before serving tourists during Tet, the unit has upgraded its infrastructure and improved the quality of accommodation. Thereby, bringing the most authentic experience to tourists when coming to the Central Highlands mountains and forests.
Especially at night, visitors can light a campfire, hold hands and sing, dance, immerse themselves in traditional Ede music and drink rice wine.

Lien Son town, Lak district is also one of the ideal destinations for tourists when coming to Dak Lak during Tet holiday. The natural scenery here is famous for its poetic beauty, Lak lake stretches as far as the eye can see.
In particular, visitors can experience friendly services with the domestic elephants of the M'nong ethnic group.

On Tet holiday, Buon Don Suspension Bridge Tourist Center (Buon Don district) will serve many more attractive and elephant-friendly activities, experiencing the landscape and culture of the Lao ethnic people. Visitors here can also row a boat on the Serepok River flowing upstream.
During the Lunar New Year, Dak Lak provincial authorities require tourism businesses in the area to ensure conditions regarding facilities and publicly post prices. The units must not allow violations in the fields of tourism business, food safety, and environmental sanitation.
Tourism businesses must arrange for rescue forces to be on duty 24/7 to ensure absolute safety for tourists, especially children, when participating in recreational activities.
Striving to welcome 1.5 million visitors
In 2025, Dak Lak province's tourism industry aims to achieve total revenue of VND 1,250 billion, an increase of VND 100 billion compared to 2024. The total number of visitors is expected to reach 1,500,000, an increase of 100,000 compared to the same period last year.
A key task is to promote and advertise to serve tourists at the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, taking place in 2025.
According to the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, the province is focusing on implementing a project to develop agricultural eco-tourism associated with new rural construction.
The delegation conducted surveys to develop new tourism products, including agricultural, rural, community, craft village tourism and OCOP products.
Authorities have also stepped up inspection and supervision during the investment, construction and exploitation of tourist attractions. This is to limit the situation of suspended projects or small-scale investment, which does not ensure progress due to lack of financial resources.
The province prioritizes budget allocation to implement tourism promotion activities both domestically and internationally. The goal is to attract more tourists and investors to Dak Lak, contributing to the sustainable development of the local tourism industry.
