No longer rigid dissemination sessions of regulations, propaganda conferences of Hanoi traffic police forces recently are focusing strongly on directly impacting the awareness of drivers and transport businesses with real-life images from traffic accidents.
At the conference organized by Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 - Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police on May 22, nearly 80 representatives of businesses, business households and cargo transport drivers attentively watched a series of videos about accidents related to trucks and container trucks.
The atmosphere in the hall at times calmed down as serious collision situations were shown continuously.
The commander of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 analyzed a series of common causes leading to accidents such as speeding, carrying overloaded goods, using alcohol and beer, stimulants while driving or vehicles not ensuring technical safety.
For many drivers, visual images create a stronger impact than ordinary propaganda sessions. Mr. Luong Anh Tuan (from Phu Tho) - a driver with more than 20 years of experience, believes that controlling speed is a particularly important factor for cargo vehicles.
Many serious accidents stem from subjective psychology, not slowing down when passing intersections or densely populated areas," Mr. Tuan shared and assessed that this is a practical activity to help drivers raise their sense of responsibility when holding the steering wheel.

Not only reminding drivers, the traffic police force also raises the issue of the responsibility of transport businesses in managing vehicles and drivers.
Mr. Do Quoc Binh - representative of Phuc Thanh Concrete Construction Joint Stock Company said that the unit regularly conducts surprise inspections of compliance with regulations on alcohol concentration, stimulants as well as technical safety conditions before the bus departs.
According to Mr. Binh, internal management plays an important role in preventing accidents and ensuring labor safety.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Head of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7 emphasized that transport businesses cannot relax inspection and supervision of drivers for profit. Each unit needs to proactively build a safe traffic culture, considering law compliance as a core factor for sustainable development.

Not only the Road Traffic Police Team No. 7, but also many units under the Hanoi Traffic Police Department have continuously organized propaganda conferences in an intuitive and practical direction.
At Road Traffic Police Team No. 9, on May 20, dozens of business owners and nearly 100 drivers watched clips of accidents related to trucks and vehicles carrying construction materials. After each situation, traffic police officers directly analyzed the causes, pointed out violations and consequences for participants to learn from.
Meanwhile, at the conference of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 on May 18, many drivers admitted to feeling "startled" after watching the accidents occur just because of a few seconds of not observing or not obeying traffic signals.
Just a minute of carelessness can lead to serious consequences, especially in the context that many construction sites are under construction with high vehicle density," Mr. Vu Doan Hoi - technical staff of Dai An contractor shared after the propaganda session.

According to the Hanoi Traffic Police Department, accidents related to transport business vehicles still account for a significant proportion of road accidents recently.
Therefore, in addition to strengthening patrols, inspections and strict handling of violations, propaganda in an intuitive direction, strongly impacting the awareness of drivers and transport businesses, continues to be identified as an important solution to reduce traffic accidents from the root.
