Launching a contest to learn knowledge about energy saving and efficiency in 2026

The Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion organizes the launch of the "Learning knowledge about energy saving and efficiency use in 2026" Contest.

The contest is organized to continue innovating the form of communication about energy saving and efficiency use, and at the same time strongly spread the goals of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use for the period 2019 - 2030 (VNEEP3).

The contest also contributes to raising awareness and community awareness about using energy economically and efficiently, implementing Directive No. 09/CT-TTg dated March 19, 2026 on strengthening energy saving implementation, promoting energy transition and developing electricity transport; Directive No. 10/CT-TTg dated March 30, 2026 on strengthening energy saving implementation and developing rooftop solar power.

Speaking to launch the contest, Mr. Dang Hai Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade) - said: "In the trend of strong digital transformation, online platforms are becoming an effective tool to connect and transmit information to the community.

Organizing the 2026 Knowledge Understanding Contest on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use in online form not only helps improve interaction but also creates conditions for the message of energy saving and efficiency to reach more widely, especially to young people - a force that plays an important role in shaping a green lifestyle and spreading positive behaviors to society”.

According to Mr. Pham Viet Thach - Deputy Head of the Department of Environment and Sustainable Development, Vietnam Electricity Group - affirmed: "Energy saving will only truly be effective when it becomes a regular awareness and action of each agency, business and each citizen.

According to Mr. Pham Viet Thach, the formation of a habit of using energy economically and efficiently not only requires propaganda but also the joint efforts of management agencies, businesses and the community in implementing specific, practical and long-term solutions.

In this context, the online contest to learn knowledge about energy saving and efficiency use in 2026 is very practical. This is not only a useful playground to disseminate knowledge but also a modern form of communication, contributing to spreading positive actions, encouraging each citizen to change energy use habits towards thrift, efficiency and sustainability.

Continuing the success of previous seasons, in 2026, the competition will continue to be organized on the electronic information page of the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency (https://tietkiemnangluong. com. vn/). The competition starts from 8:00 AM on June 16, 2026 to 12:00 PM on July 20, 2026, divided into 5 competitions.

2026 marks the 5th consecutive year of the contest taking place, the contest has become a familiar annual playground, receiving enthusiastic participation from people from all over the country. In the past 3 years, the contest has recorded impressive results with 406,573 contestants, with the number of entries reaching 623,734.

These results show the increasing interest of society in the issue of energy saving and efficiency, and at the same time affirm the effectiveness of communication activities implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The results of each exam will be publicly updated on the Electronic Information Page, fanpage, Zalo OA channel of the VNEEP Program to ensure transparency, create motivation for emulation and increase the spread of the competition. Through this, the program gradually becomes a highlight in community communication work, contributing to bringing energy saving messages into practical life.

Each exam, the Organizing Committee will award 5 prizes to 5 contestants with the highest results. 1 Special Prize of 3,000,000 VND/prize for contestants with the correct answers and most accurate predictions, in the shortest time. The remaining prizes are worth 1,000,000 VND/prize.

The organizers expect that with knowledge questions about electricity saving and energy saving close to daily life, the contest will continue to receive the attention and widespread participation of all components and participants nationwide. From there, contribute to communication and strong spread of the National Program on energy saving and efficiency in particular as well as energy saving knowledge in general.
