The incident happened in Long Nguyen ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The woman involved in the incident is Ms. P.T. H (born in 1973).
Initial information, at 8:30 PM on May 7, Animal and Veterinary Station Area 5 coordinated with Long Nguyen Ward Police to inspect a truck with suspicious signs.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered that the truck was carrying about 1 ton of dead pigs, in a state of decomposition, emitting a strong stench.
All goods did not have papers proving their origin, as well as animal quarantine certificates as prescribed.
Immediately after that, functional agencies made a record of administrative violations in the field of veterinary medicine against Ms. P.T. H (the person who transported the above pigs); at the same time, forced the destruction of all dead pigs according to regulations to ensure environmental sanitation and disease safety.

At noon on May 8, more than 1 ton of dead pigs were transported to a centralized treatment site for destruction under the supervision of functional forces.
Currently, functional agencies are continuing to verify and clarify the origin of the above pigs for handling according to legal regulations.
The Ho Chi Minh City Sub-Department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine said that it will continue to strengthen coordination with localities, inspect the transportation and trading of animals and animal products, and strictly handle violations, especially acts of bringing unsafe food to the consumption market.
