The Military Command of Da Nang City (CHQS) said that during the process of taking samples of martyrs' remains at Que An Martyrs' Cemetery, Que Son commune, the working team discovered an album containing many relatively clear photos in the unidentified martyr's grave.
Artifacts were discovered at grave number 1, row B12, lot II, identification code 48 073 00121. Although after many years, some images in the album can still recognize faces and related characteristics. This is a valuable source of information, contributing to the process of verifying the identity of martyrs and searching for relatives.
Currently, Que Son commune manages 4 martyrs' cemeteries including: Que Minh, Que An, Que Long and Que Phong, with a total of 2,081 martyrs' graves; of which 841 graves have not been identified. To date, the locality has completed taking 462 samples of martyrs' remains for DNA testing.
Images and artifacts are being further inspected, compared, and verified by functional agencies. We hope that agencies, units, localities, and the community will share and spread the information.
People recognize relatives, comrades or know information related to the people in the photos, please provide it to functional agencies, contributing to early identification of martyrs, bringing them back to their families and homeland.
