On July 3, information from the Military Command (CHQS) of Quang Tri province said that Team 584 (Political Department) had just organized an survey, search and successfully repatriated 1 set of martyrs' remains in Cua Viet commune. This is a practical activity in response to the National Steering Committee's "Operation 500 days and nights to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains".
Previously, on July 1, receiving information from people and construction units about discovering artifacts of soldiers during site clearance and soil digging for airport construction in Nhi Ha village (Cua Viet commune), Team 584 immediately organized forces to conduct field surveys and verify information.

With a high sense of responsibility and effective coordination between the unit and the Party Committee, local authorities and functional forces, the repatriation team found and brought to the surface 1 set of martyrs' remains.
At the repatriation site, bones such as tibia, ankle bones... have been decomposed and show signs of being disturbed. In addition, the search force also discovered many typical artifacts of soldiers attached, including: shoe soles, reloaders for medium machine guns, grenades, infantry shovels, soldier's nylon bags, soldier's buttons, belts, B52 bowls and some other artifacts. Functional agencies believe that these are particularly important bases to serve the research, comparison and verification of information about martyrs in the coming time.
Currently, the martyrs' remains have been moved and brought to the barracks of Team 584 (Political Department, Quang Tri Provincial Military Command) for officers and staff of the unit to organize protection, care and incense offerings in accordance with regulations.
