Sampling and digitization are to serve DNA testing, gradually identifying martyrs who are still missing information.

Bao Loc Martyrs' Cemetery is currently the resting place of 740 heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and national defense.

Among them, 102 graves have not been identified, gathered in a separate area with full symbols of goods, batches and graves numbers, creating favorable conditions for excavation and DNA sampling.

Before performing the task, Steering Committee 515 and forces and delegates offered flowers and incense at the Memorial and martyrs' graves to express gratitude and remember those who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Immediately after the memorial ceremony, Team No. 1 took samples to implement the steps according to professional procedures.

Each member is assigned specific tasks to ensure that excavation and sample taking take place in a tight, scientific and solemn manner.

At each tomb, specialized forces digitize all on-site information such as the location of the tomb, content of the tombstone, related documents before opening the tomb using specialized tools.

The process of stripping the soil and approaching the remains is carried out carefully to maintain the status quo and ensure the accuracy of the data.

After being brought out of the grave, the martyr's remains are covered with military flags, placed in specialized glass cabinets and transferred to a separate sampling area.

Here, doctors and professional staff took samples in hygienic conditions, strictly complying with technical procedures for DNA testing.

According to the Steering Committee 515 of Lam Dong province, the entire process of sampling and data digitization is carried out synchronously to serve the storage, comparison and identification of martyrs in the coming time.

It is expected that the DNA sampling for 102 remains of unidentified martyrs at Bao Loc Martyrs' Cemetery will be completed before July 7.
