Officers and staff of Chu Mom Ray National Park (Kon Tum) have just recorded the appearance of many rare animals at risk of extinction thanks to the camera trap system. Of which, the horse bear and the goose are two prominent species discovered.
The horse bear, also known as the black bear of Tibet, the Himalaya black bear or the Asian black bear, is on the red list of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This species is facing the risk of population decline due to hunting and loss of habitat.

The camera trap system at Chu Mom Ray National Park (Kon Tum) has recorded 4ut cows in good health.
This is an animal that moves continuously, not fixedly in one area and mainly lives in Southeast Asia with several other countries. Goats are on the red list and are strictly protected by Vietnamese law, prohibiting all acts of hunting or harassment.
The discovery of rare animals is of great significance in biodiversity conservation and scientific research.
Meanwhile, in Gia Lai province, Kon Ka Kinh National Park - one of the 27 ASEAN heritage gardens - is also home to many rare animals.

Some endangered species discovered here include gray-legged patchwork crabs, small culi, thorn and Ngoc Linh shrimp.
Every year, the park's Wildlife Conservation Center releases hundreds of individuals such as vultures, monkeys, parrots, deer, etc. back into the wild, contributing to protecting the forest ecosystem.
Many wildlife species were voluntarily donated by the people after being informed about the importance of conservation work.
In addition, the authorities regularly detect and seize illegally traded species, contributing to protecting the ecosystem and maintaining biodiversity in the area.
