On August 25, information from the People's Committee of Hien Khanh commune, Ninh Binh province, at about 5:30 pm on August 20, the Military Command (CHQS) of Hien Khanh commune received a report from the family of Mr. Tran Quang T (in Hung Dao village) about the discovery of a metal object suspected to be a 175mm artillery shell in front of the house.
Immediately after receiving the news, leaders of Hien Khanh commune directed the Commune Military Command to deploy forces to the scene, coordinate with the Commune Police to cordon off the area, warn, evacuate people, protect the scene, and prevent non-commissioned people from approaching the object. The Commune Military Command also reported to the Ninh Binh Provincial Military Command, specialized agencies and asked for instructions.
After that, specialized forces of the Ninh Binh Provincial Military Command went to the scene to organize inspections and recover objects according to regulations, ensuring safety for people and surrounding areas.
