On August 4, Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan - Director of Phap Viet General Medical Clinic - said that the decision to suspend health examination activities at the clinic had expired from July 31 according to the decision of Hue City Department of Health.
Currently, the clinic has completed the necessary procedures and is waiting for competent authorities to consider issuing a license to resume health check-up activities.
Regarding the case of a female nurse being discovered to arbitrarily forge a doctor's signature in a health check-up file that Lao Dong Newspaper reported earlier, Mr. Tuan said that so far, functional agencies and the Hue City Department of Health have not yet had a final conclusion on the handling of related individuals.
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Hue City Department of Health said that the authority of the unit is to inspect and handle violations of Phap Viet General Medical Clinic and issue decisions to sanction and suspend health check-up activities according to regulations.
Regarding the consideration of the responsibility of the female nurse who was found to have forged a doctor's signature in her health check-up records and related individuals, a representative of the Department of Health said that this content exceeds the authority of the department. Therefore, the unit is still waiting for the results of verification, handling and official notification from functional agencies to carry out the next steps according to regulations.
Previously, on May 20, Mr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of Hue City Department of Health - said that the unit had issued a decision to handle violations occurring at Phap Viet General Medical Clinic after the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper.
Hue City Department of Health has decided to suspend the health examination activities of the French-Vietnamese Medical General Clinic after discovering the case of a female nurse forging a doctor's signature in a health examination record.

As Lao Dong Newspaper has reported, recently, the demand for medical examinations and health certificates in Hue City has increased. However, in some clinics, there are signs of perfunctory examinations, not in accordance with professional procedures.
In the role of a citizen going for health check-ups from the beginning of January to mid-April 2026, reporters recorded at the French-Vietnamese Medical General Clinic (43 Nguyen Hue), the examiner only performed initial procedures, took urine samples, examined the eyes and waited to receive results without being examined in specialties such as Ear - Nose - Throat, General Internal Medicine or Psychiatry.
Although not fully examined, the health certificate still completes the evaluation sections with the conclusion "currently normal". Notably, the file shows a signature in the name of Dr. Nguyen Dang Doanh even though in the examinations on April 4 and April 11, 2026, reporters did not record the presence of this doctor at the clinic.
Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan - Director of the clinic - admitted that the press's reflections were true. According to Mr. Tuan, the Hue City Department of Health has twice invited Dr. Nguyen Dang Doanh and nurse Hoang Thi Thanh Nhung to work and write reports.
