During the first two days of the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025, the entire Quang Binh province recorded a traffic accident, causing one death.
The authorities deployed 47 patrols, with the participation of nearly 200 officers and soldiers. During the inspection, 41 violations were recorded, including 11 cars and 30 motorbikes. The total expected fine is more than 190 million VND. In addition, 6 cases had points deducted, 1 case had a driver's license revoked and 26 vehicles were temporarily seized.
The strict implementation of the provisions of Decree No. 168, especially the provisions on penalties for violations of alcohol concentration and traffic lights, has significantly contributed to reducing violations and raising awareness of traffic law compliance among the people.
Traffic safety work during the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday will continue to be monitored, urged and evaluated. These results will be used as a basis to improve and enhance the effectiveness of traffic safety work during the following holidays and Tet.
