According to a quick report from Binh Khe Ward People's Committee, at about 4:15 pm on May 3, at house number 381, DT 326 street, Thuong 2 area, during repairs, a 2-story house suddenly collapsed.
At the time of the incident, Mr. Luong Xuan Viet (born 1968, residing in Hai Phong) was driving a crane serving construction when the house collapsed.
The house collapse left 3 people trapped in the rubble.
Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities mobilized police, military, and local security forces to coordinate with fire prevention and fighting and rescue forces to organize emergency rescue.
Functional forces urgently took the two injured victims, Mr. Luong Xuan Viet and Mr. Dang Van Phieu (born 1968), to Dong Trieu Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment.
At about 5:50 pm on the same day, functional forces found the remaining victim, Mr. N.V.L. (born 1963, residing in Ha 2 area, Binh Khe ward) dead in the collapsed wall area.
Currently, the police agency is investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident; local authorities are organizing visits and support for victims and families of the deceased.
