Lao Cai - Due to the impact of heavy rain, at noon on July 13, Provincial Road 162 had a landslide on the positive slope, burying the entire roadbed with rocks and soil.

Information from the Lao Cai Provincial Project Management and Traffic Construction Maintenance Board, immediately after the landslide occurred at Km9, Provincial Road 162 on Quy Xa Street (through Vo Lao Commune) causing traffic congestion from Tang Loong Commune to Van Ban Commune, the unit requested Vietnam Expressway Service Joint Stock Company (VECS) to deploy machinery and human resources to clear the soil and rocks, and overcome the landslide site.

The amount of landslides is not large, but there is a risk of further landslides on the hillside, so it needs to be completely repaired. It is expected that the road will be opened to serve the people's travel by the end of this afternoon (July 13.

According to the representative of the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Management and Maintenance Board, there are currently 2 major landslides on Provincial Road 162 (Quy Xa Street) that appeared in September 2024 (after storm No. 3) that have not been repaired, causing many difficulties for people's travel.

To travel from Tang Loong commune to Van Ban commune, vehicles will move in the direction: Tang Loong commune - Provincial Road 151 ( Vo Lao) - Khe Lech bridge (National Highway 279) - turn right into Van Ban commune.
