On the morning of April 25, information from the People's Committee of Coc San commune, at about 0:05 on April 25, at Km7+500 provincial road 155, the section passing through Lao Vang Chai village, Coc San commune, a traffic accident occurred involving a passenger car with license plate 26H-026. 71.
According to initial information from functional forces, at the above time, the passenger car was driven by Mr. Lo Thanh Phuc (born 1989, permanent residence in Ban Bo, Chieng An ward, Son La province), traveling in the direction of Sa Pa to Lao Cai. The car was carrying 39 passengers, along with the second driver and assistant driver.
When moving to a steep road section, many turns, the vehicle suddenly crashed into the right side of the culvert in the direction of travel. The preliminary cause was determined to be that the driver was not familiar with the road, while the road had continuous downhill terrain, posing a potential safety risk.
The consequence was that 2 people were slightly injured, including 1 case of broken collarbone and shoulder blade, 1 person with broken ribs. No deaths or serious injuries were recorded.
At the scene, the passenger car was slightly damaged, property damage is estimated at about 35 million VND.
Through initial inspection, the driver did not violate the alcohol concentration and was negative for drugs.
Currently, the case is being verified and clarified by functional agencies.
