The accident happened at about 9:15 PM on January 4th at km17 of new National Highway 37, in Vinh Bao commune. At this time, a taxi driven by Mr. K.V.T (born in 1988, Vinh Hai commune) traveling from Ninh Giang to Thai Thuy crashed into a truck driven by Mr. B.V.C (born in 1995, residing in Thanh Hoa province) traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result, Mr. T died right in the taxi, and Mr. C was injured. The initial cause was that the taxi driver was driving in the wrong lane.
Previously, at about 4:10 pm on the same day, a serious accident also occurred in the area at km 91+200 National Highway 37 (intersection between National Highway 37 and the road to Bai Re, Con Son) in Tran Hung Dao ward. The tractor-trailer driven by Mr. H.M.H (born in 1969, residing in Ninh Binh province) heading from An Linh gas station to National Highway 18 collided with a motorbike driven by Mr. L.D.K (born in 1983, residing in Tran Hung Dao ward). The motorbike was traveling from Bai Re to National Highway 37 and turned right towards An Linh gas station. As a result, Mr. K died at the scene. Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by functional forces.
