Through the work of managing the area and capturing information on social networks, Market Management Team No. 8 - Phu Tho Market Management Department and the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (PA05) - Phu Tho Provincial Police discovered social network accounts Tiktok and Facebook with the display names "Hung Quang Chau", "Hung Watch Luxury", "Binli Viet Tri" advertising and selling products with signs of counterfeiting and unknown origin.
Accordingly, on September 5, 7 and 8, Market Management Team No. 8, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with Department PA05 to inspect BINLI Store (Pham Thi Ngoc Business Household) at address: No. 1815, Hung Vuong Avenue, Gia Cam Ward, Viet Tri City and searched the Warehouse at address: Lot B3, B4 Foreign Language and Information Technology Urban Area, Gia Cam Ward, Viet Tri City.
As a result, over 9,000 products were discovered with signs of counterfeiting protected brands in Vietnam such as Prada, Dior, Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Hermes... and 65 products including: Thong Fashion handbags and shoes with information on product labels that did not have a basis to determine the origin or place of manufacture of the goods.
At the time of inspection, Ms. Ngoc could not present invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
Currently, Market Management Team No. 8 - Phu Tho Market Management Department has temporarily detained all of the above goods and coordinated with Department PA05 - Phu Tho Provincial Police to verify and clarify the case according to the provisions of law.
According to Lao Dong's investigation, Mr. Hung (also known as Hung Quang Chau) is the owner of TikTok and Facebook pages such as "Hung Quang Chau", "Hung Luxury", who regularly posts advertising clips and sells counterfeit branded goods. In the clips, Mr. Hung does not hesitate to admit that his products are counterfeits, but he claims that they are high-level counterfeits, which he calls with the beautiful name of manufactured goods.
In addition to fashion products, Mr. Hung also regularly posts promotional clips about watches, including expensive brands such as Patek Philippe, Rolex... and they are all advertised as being exquisitely crafted, with perfect proportions, but the price is much lower than the real products on the market.
