Tuyen Hoa district (Quang Binh province) was established in December of the year Giap Tuat - the 27th year of Tu Duc (ie January 1875 according to the solar calendar).
Since the Communist Party of Vietnam was born and directly led the revolution, the Party Committee, army and people of Tuyen Hoa have continuously grown stronger, overcome hardships and sacrifices, and continued to write new pages of history.
During the two long resistance wars of the nation, the army and people of Tuyen Hoa, together with the army and people of the whole country, stood up to fight to regain independence and sovereignty, protect territorial integrity, and unify the country.
In June 1990, Tuyen Hoa district was divided into two districts, Tuyen Hoa and Minh Hoa, opening a new development period for the district.
The economy grows continuously and stably, with an average of 8-10% per year in the period 1991-2024. In 2024, compared to 1991, the basic socio-economic indicators have made a leap forward. The value of industry, handicrafts, trade and services increased from 3 billion VND to 2,797 billion VND, an increase of more than 930 times; average income per capita from 400,000 VND to 57.1 million VND in 2024; budget revenue from 2.7 billion VND to over 135.5 billion VND.
The whole district has 15/18 communes meeting new rural standards, including 2 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, 15 model new rural residential areas...
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Quang - Secretary of Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the great contributions of Tuyen Hoa's army and people to the Party's revolutionary cause, the struggle for national independence and reunification; congratulated and praised Tuyen Hoa's impressive and comprehensive achievements in the renovation period.
Mr. Quang emphasized that in the coming time, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Tuyen Hoa will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and self-improvement to build a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
The district also needs to identify specific breakthrough tasks for the new period, first of all the goals and targets set out in the resolution of the District Party Congress for the upcoming term 2025 - 2030. In particular, Tuyen Hoa should take advantage of the district's potential and strengths, which are the strengths of forests, river systems, minerals... to develop the economy in a sustainable direction.
