Recognizing the importance of gender equality, together with the Party Committee and government of Tan Lac district, in recent years, the Women's Union of Tan Lac district has identified gender equality as an important political task.

At the same time, we are determined to create strong changes to promote people's behavior change to achieve gender equality and women's advancement.

Ms. Bui Thi Thuy - President of the Women's Union of Tan Lac district said that the Union has implemented many solutions to propagate, disseminate and educate the Law on Gender Equality and the National Strategy on Gender Equality in all areas of life, to all classes of people in the area.

Every year, the Association organizes many exchange programs, competitions, thematic talks, communication campaigns... with content on gender equality and prevention of domestic violence.

In particular, for those who need attention such as ethnic minority women, students, and those in difficult circumstances... Tan Lac District Women's Union has focused on coordinating with departments and branches to strengthen propaganda activities to each village and hamlet; organize more seminars and exchanges on gender equality at schools.

Ms. Bui Thi Mai (40 years old, residing in Phong Phu commune, Tan Lac district) said: "The propaganda and mobilization work of the local women's association on gender equality has helped many people understand the issues of equality, rights and laws for women."

According to Ms. Hoa, her life has changed a lot because she has a better understanding of women's rights. At the same time, other women are also actively spreading knowledge so that more people know.

According to the President of the Women's Union of Tan Lac district, through efforts in propaganda work, in recent years, the district has not recorded any cases of violence against women or domestic violence that require the authorities to intervene. All children of school age are able to go to school and have the conditions to study fully.

In addition, the work of propagating and disseminating gender equality has contributed to changing the awareness and behavior of the community in the district about gender and gender equality, helping to improve the position of women in the family and in society.

Communes also proactively equip officials in the political system, village elders, village chiefs, religious dignitaries and prestigious people in the community with knowledge of gender equality and skills to implement gender mainstreaming. Creating favorable conditions for women to rise up and hold many important roles.

In Tan Lac district, there are many typical examples of women with education, expertise, and good economic performance, the clearest evidence for the issue of improving gender equality in today's society.
