Immediately after the ship docked, the welcoming ceremony for the delegation was solemnly held with the participation of representatives of the leaders of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, and representatives of military agencies in the area.
This Japanese delegation is headed by Rear Admiral Takahashi Toru, Deputy Commander of the Japan Coast Guard, along with Colonel Ono Kazuya - Commander of the ship and 59 officers and sailors.
The visit takes place in the context of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Japan increasingly deepening. This is proof of the efforts to promote mutual understanding and trust between the law enforcement forces at sea of the two countries.
One of the key activities of this visit is the joint exercise at sea between the ship Akitsushima and the Vietnam Coast Guard, scheduled to take place on January 21. This activity aims to strengthen coordination and coordination in law enforcement and search and rescue tasks.
The delegation will also visit and work at the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) Region 2 and spend time visiting culture and scenic spots in Da Nang. This visit by the Akitsushima ship continues to affirm the substantive cooperative relationship, contributing to maintaining peace, stability and security in the region.
It is expected that the Akitsushima ship will leave Tien Sa port on January 23rd, ending its visit to Vietnam.
