News from the Trade Union of Ngu Hanh Son Ward, Da Nang City on January 18 said: The Ward Trade Union organized a conference to summarize trade union activities in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026.
Attending were Mr. Dang Van Ky - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward; Mr. Mai Nien - Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Council; representatives of leaders of the Ward People's Committee, advisory and assisting agencies of the Party Committee and the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union, term I, and representatives of grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions.
In 2025, in a context of mixed advantages and difficulties, the Trade Union of Ngu Hanh Son ward made efforts to innovate the content and methods of operation, completing and exceeding the targets assigned by the City Labor Federation.
The ward trade union successfully organized the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030; currently managed 121 grassroots trade unions with 7,729 union members out of 8,207 workers, civil servants and laborers.
Including 7 grassroots trade unions in the non-business sector; 8 grassroots trade unions in the private school sector; 5 professional trade unions, 101 grassroots trade unions in the business sector.
Since its establishment (July 1, 2025) to date, the Ward Trade Union has established 19 new grassroots trade unions.
The work of caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers continues to be emphasized. During the year, the Ward Trade Union organized and coordinated to present more than 1,200 gifts with a total budget of over 1.2 billion VND.
In particular, before the heavy impact of storms and floods in October 2025, the Ward Trade Union promptly supported 240 union members and workers with a total budget of 480 million VND. The "Trade Union Home" program was effectively implemented, supporting the repair and construction of 5 new houses for union members in difficult circumstances.
The Trade Union of Ngu Hanh Son ward agreed on the direction and tasks for 2026 with a focus on establishing a new grassroots Trade Union, developing union members, improving the quality of propaganda and vocational skills training for workers, strengthening negotiations and signing collective labor agreements, and building a strong trade union organization.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Van Ky acknowledged and highly appreciated the achieved results, and at the same time expressed his belief that the Ward Trade Union will continue to promote its role in accompanying workers and local development in 2026.
